<noindex></noindex>

People don't understand just how important keeping a healthy blood pressure is in overall health and wellbeing. Your blood pressure actually affects the performance of every single organ in your body. Having high blood pressure is no joke and should be taken very seriously.

It can cause the following: STROKE, heart attack, Erectile Dysfunction and loss of sexual libido, Headache, Enlargement of intestinal tract, Eye disease, and Fainting just to name a few off the top of my head. Men who have high blood pressure are often "red in the face" because the blood is rushing to the brain and is literally pounding.

Controlling blood pressure is a serious thing too. There are many drugs on the market. But there are also non pharmaceutical ways of helping yourself.

First of all changing your attitude is the biggest thing. If you are someone who has road rage for example, you might want to reconsider how you react. Screaming and yelling at cars only hurts you. If you are a yeller in general, you might consider getting some counseling so that you can learn other methods of effective communication. Give yourself better tools.

Making sure you have plenty of laughter in your life is a great way of helping lower your blood pressure. Its true. When you laugh, you release endorphins into the body that relax and lower your blood pressure. So taking time to watch more comedies and less stressful chop-em-up or depressing movies will help lower your blood pressure.

Having a pet dog or a cat or other animal is known to significantly lower blood pressure in a high number of patients! The simple act of stroking an animal, calms a human extremely quickly. Having that unconditional love that an animal gives often is helpful to mental well-being of a person and therefore lowers blood pressure. Doctors are even starting to prescribe animals to patients!

Meditation. I know I say this alot, but meditation can lower stress and therefore lower blood pressure. Using this as a tool in your life can really help. Meditation doesn't have to be you sitting cross legged hugging a tree singing Kumbya you know. It could be a simple counting backward from 10 to 1 and breathing, or closing your eyes and imagining the stress leaving your body for a moment.

Diet. Lowering your intake of fat and cholesterol can really help. Also your carbohydrate and sugar intake. Why? Because if you are constantly on the sugar highs and lows your mood goes with it. Much better to be even with your blood sugar and even with your temper. Adding a glass of red wine to your daily routine is also a good thing. There are proven anti-oxidants in the wine that lower blood pressure. Of course this needs to be done in moderation. The consumption of dark chocolate (coaca of 70%) is proven to decrease blood pressure too. Removing caffeine (coffee, tea, soda) from your diet too will help reduce your blood pressure.

Stress. Everyone has stress in their lives. Jobs, home, family. But there are always things that you can do to help eliminate unneeded stresses and worries. Maybe it is a change of career that is needed, or a change in lifestyle. Take a look at what is really important and re-evaluate. You might be surprised at the answer you come up with.

Smoking. If you smoke and have high blood pressure, you need to stop. You are a walking time bomb awaiting a stroke or a heart attack. You don't want to be a vegetable do you? Imagine a world where you could do nothing for yourself, you can hear in but can't speak out. Are the cigarettes worth that really? Are you willing to do that to yourself or your loved ones? How would they survive without you? How would everyone cope financially? Think about it.

Exercise. I cannot tell you enough how important this is to your overall health and well-being. This is truly the most important thing you can do to help yourself. It helps you both mentally and physically. It does not need to be big, it can be a simple walk each day. But it needs to be regular.

Sleep. Getting the right amount of rest for your body helps lower blood pressure. It only makes sense since lack of sleep makes a person irritable, and lowers your bodies ability to function properly.

Music. Music is a great relaxer and stress reliever. Playing music in the car for example helps the time go by faster and the drive less stressful therefore lowering your blood pressure. The right kind of music can also help put you in a semi-meditative state.

Finally there are the pharmaceutical solutions on the market. There are many out there. But they have side effects. For men, they cause alot of E.D. issues. For women they cause depression. You have to figure out what is the right combination for you. There are different types available on the market. Some are more effective than others. Make sure that you work with your doctor and tell him/her if you don't feel right. Be brave enough to ask to change medications. You aren't stuck with one.

My friend <noindex>Sanityfound</noindex> inspired this post today by mentioning a great song by Queen. I'll leave you with it to round out your day.

There is no "magic bullet" to instantly remedy premature ejaculation (PE) because its causes are not entirely understood. The problem doesn't have to get in the way of a healthy sex life, however, because there is a range of treatment options to discuss with your doctor or sex therapist.

1. The squeeze
One physical strategy for delaying climax involves squeezing the shaft of the penis right before ejaculation. "It creates a mild discomfort and keeps the event from happening," says Irwin Goldstein, MD, director of San Diego Sexual Medicine and the editor in chief of The Journal of Sexual Medicine.ot all doctors agree. The squeeze technique is not recommended by Ira Sharlip, MD, spokesman for the American Urological Association and clinical professor of urology at University of California at San Francisco, because he feels it may be difficult to perform properly during sex.

2. Mental distraction
Some people find mental distraction helpful for delaying things. The idea is to think of something completely unrelated to your partner—and distinctly nonsexual. Some guys imagine they are at a football game or do math problems in their heads.

3. Numbing creams
Topical creams containing lidocaine or a similar numbing agent will reduce sensitivity, although they are not FDA-approved for this function. Or try a lubricant that's formulated with desensitizing ingredients designed to help prolong the sexual experience. Dr. Goldstein has a warning about these, though: "If you are going to use a numbing agent, you should wear a condom or its numbing effects will transfer to your partner." It is recommended, as well, that one wipe off the numbing agent before beginning intercourse.

4. Pills
Some oral medications designed to treat other conditions have also been effective in treating PE because of their (unintentional and otherwise unwanted) sexual side effects. For example, selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), widely used as antidepressants, can also be used to delay climax. "SSRIs raise serotonin levels, which is an inhibitor to sexual activity," explains Dr. Goldstein. "One of the side effects is difficulty ejaculating." SSRIs work best for men who take them every day, however; they don't work if you take them immediately before sex. Also, SSRIs typically have another unintended side effect—the loss of libido—so it's important to weigh the pros and cons of this option with your doctor.

The painkiller tramadol can also delay climax. "You can take it right before sex and its effect on the brain ultimately results in prolonged ejaculation," says Dr. Goldstein. Other, less desirable, side effects of tramadol include nausea, vomiting, indigestion, drowsiness, dry mouth, chills, sweating, headaches, and more. Dr. Sharlip also warns it can be addictive.

5 Herbal <noindex>Last Longer Pills</noindex>

Last Longer Pills is

*Acts locally on the sex organs.
*Regulates process of ejaculation.
*Acts through neuro-endocrine pathway.

*Acts on the high centers of emotion in the brain.

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="LolCat Finds A Blue Pill"]<noindex></noindex>[/caption]

Is this sex positive news? Eh, not the way it is reported but that's usually the case with the news I dig through. It is fascinating to me, though, so up it goes. The Independent, a newspaper out of Ireland, is <noindex>reporting </noindex>an interesting sexual reversal of genders. Young women with strong expectations for nearly-immediate casual sex have increased performance pressure on their male mates to the point that they are seeking Viagra in record numbers.

<noindex></noindex>

While the vast majority of men with erectile dysfunction never seek medical help, younger generations seem to be willing even without anything worthy of diagnosis. Afterall, human bodies aren't generally made for on-demand sex. For centuries, if not longer, women have been plagued by the expection to be "ready on demand", with legions of commercial products available to us for that purpose. However, pharmaceutical companies have struggled to find a successful version of the magic blue pill for women. Our arousal and orgasmic processes are more complex, it seems. Now that women are on the hunt, heterosexual men are facing our old struggle to be ever ready more and more frequently. Some men in the gay community have been experiencing this for years, of course, which is more likely related to partnering with men (regardless of one's gender) than to sexual orientation.

This phenomena also speaks against the long held cultural myth that men do want sex whenever, however, with whomever. Many of us know better, but still subscribe to the stereotype at least a bit. The physicians, psychiatrists and certain young men of Ireland now know this to be false. Since both men and women like sex under the right circumstances, whether it be with each other or not, whats the issue? That's a darned good question. Experts in the article remind readers of the importance of developing an attraction and sense of intimacy in order to allow nature to do her job. I wonder about more core relational issues of basic human respect, objectification, and interest in mutual pleasure. Perhaps these should go hand in hand with intimacy and attraction, but it takes work for that to be case. I'm interested to see where this goes, if anywhere, in how we understand each others needs for all three aspects of pleasure: emotional, physical and relational. Until then, I hope the big money makers at Viagra don't profit too much over this interesting movement.

The problem with modern relationships nowadays is that both couple are off to work for a livingwith no time to lose for the often neglected marital and personal affairs. This problem is further complicated when the male partner has a problem with his erection and sexual capacity.

There can be a number of reasons but they all usually boil down to the stressful lifestyle that most of us are in. However, for those cases that only needs a little biological twist, there are effective drugs out there in the market that provides the needed help from nature.

Think they're on their way to little afternoon delight?

I strongly dislike the phrase "use it or lose it" when doctors apply it to sexual functioning. However, here it is again with some research to back it up. When it means that men are encouraged to have regular sexual activity throughout the lifespan then I might just be a fan of it this once. Some daring Finnish researchers have discovered a link between regular intercourse and lowered risk of moderate levels of erectile dysfunction. They did not note whether masturbation could have the same effect, although it seems implied from the article I read. Apparently the trick is to keep blood flowing to area often, especially as men age. In fact, the research itself was on men from age 55 - 75. Woohoo! And how much is enough? The researchers noted a cutoff of at least 1x per week. Come on now, we can at least give ourselves a bit of fun at least once a week. Now you even have some hard data to back it up. The article continues to note that getting the blood flowing is important after prostate surgery, as well. This matches what I learned from a wonderful presentation on sex after cancer while attending AASECT, in which the presenting nurse noted the high importance of achieving erections soon after surgery to prevent erectile dysfunction. Be sure to talk this over with your doctor, gentlemen, and if you doctor cannot advise you then it is time to find a new (or second) sound source of medical information for your sex life. And remember to keep using those <noindex>condoms </noindex>& <noindex>lube</noindex>!
